My ultimate goal with all this has always been to get on a tour and capture the essence of whichever artist it is I might be lucky enough to be accompanying. As a self-proclaimed professional fan girl, the stuff I get really excited about and pause my endless scrolling for is always the BTS content of my fav musicians. Those raw, uncalculated moments that give you a glimpse into who that artist really is as a human, out of the spotlight and living their day to day. So to get any opportunity to be let inside the artists world outside of the venue is one I jump at, and I was super stoked to get that this past weekend being welcomed into the home of my lovely friends Miel and D’Ari, aka VILLAS, in Prince Edward County. Ok confession maybe I mostly went for Miel’s life altering granola and a quick snuggle with Shabba the pup, but a mini-photo diary was the third(ish) reason.
I won’t say much more since this post is a lil photo heavy, but it was so nice to break free from my usual 3-song photo pit shoot and spend a quiet day in the county before the night’s performance at the Hayloft (yes, in a BARN, because how much more county can ya get). Opening for VILLAS was my favourite magician Memorecks, and new pals Obsolete Collective came all the way from Montreal to finish the night off and light up the dance floor. Full photo set is below, big s/o to Miel & D’Ari for being the most stellar hosts and giving me an always much needed break from Toronto. Not pictured is the Saturday morning bootcamp session Miel kicked my butt at (…nobody needs to see that).
